Digital Services Regulation Compliance Policy

In compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 October 2022 on a single market for digital services (Digital Services Regulation – DSA), Associação Empresarial de Braga (AEB), as the managing entity of the platform www.centrobraga.pt, adopts this set of rules and procedures aimed at ensuring:

  • responsible content moderation;
  • combating the dissemination of illegal content;
  • protection of platform users;
  • transparency in the use of advertising and recommendation systems.
  1. What is the DSA?

The Digital Services Regulation (DSA) is a legislative instrument of the European Union that establishes obligations for digital platforms with the aim of enhancing security, transparency and fundamental rights in the European digital space.

Among the main objectives of the DSA are:

  • Creation of effective mechanisms for reporting illegal content;
  • Strengthening protection against online harassment and intimidation;
  • Prohibition of targeted advertising based on sensitive data or minors’ data;
  • Ensuring transparency in recommendation systems and ad presentation;
  • Implementation of accessible, effective and free complaint channels.
  1. Applicability to Marketplace Customers

The DSA applies to all intermediary platforms established or operating in the European Union. If you use the Marketplace www.centrobraga.pt as a Customer, the provisions of the DSA apply to you, ensuring you additional rights regarding security, transparency and data protection.

  1. How the Centro Braga Marketplace ensures DSA compliance

AEB guarantees the implementation of the following measures:

  • Mechanisms for reporting and removing illegal content;
  • Active monitoring and moderation of content, in accordance with legal terms;
  • Transparency in usage conditions and product presentation;
  • Clear identification of advertising content (“Sponsored”);
  • Prohibition of advertising based on sensitive data or data related to minors;
  1. Illegal Content

Illegal content includes all information, goods or services made available on the platform that contravene national or European legislation, including:

  • Incitement to violence or hatred;
  • Sale of illegal products;
  • Copyright infringements;
  • Dissemination of misinformation harmful to public health or safety.
  1. Content Moderation

AEB reserves the right, diligently and proportionally, to remove, hide or restrict access to illegal content or content that violates the Marketplace’s Terms of Use and General Sales Conditions, as well as to suspend or delete accounts in case of repeated infringement.

  1. Reporting Illegal Content

Customers or any user may report potentially illegal or inappropriate content through the form. AEB is committed to analyzing all reports and, if applicable, acting according to the defined procedures.

  1. Dark Patterns (“dark patterns”)

The Centro Braga Marketplace does not use design practices that induce Customers to make decisions without clear information or that distort their will. All navigation, consent and contracting options are presented transparently and understandably.

  1. Advertising

All advertising on the Marketplace is identified with the designation “Sponsored”. Ads displayed are based exclusively on objective criteria such as search history, product popularity and commercial relevance.

  1. Recommendation Systems

The Marketplace uses automated systems to order and recommend products based on visible criteria such as:

  • Relevance;
  • Price (ascending or descending);
  • Rating;
  • Discount;
  • Paid promotion.
